Mud Lake Sheep Co.

Welcome to our portion of stealing some of Jason and Kelly's webpage.

Landon and myself, Kjerstin along with our 3 daughters are located out in the East Central side of the province North of Regina, on Landon's family crop farm. Here we are raising Purebred North Country Cheviots and commercials (Mainly a Mule flock (Bluefaced Leicester on a North Country Cheviot)) alongside a breed up/percentages program and a few purebred Texel sheep. The flock is getting up into the triple numbers for breeding ewes with strong genetics within the flock itself.

Being where we are located, we strive to have a good market lamb raised on grass and finished on barley. Our ewe/ram lambs are raised on pasture away from the farm with guard dogs, this make strong and very adaptable to the rough terrain yearlings that will perform without special feeds.

Each year we have a select few rams and ewe lambs that we have raised up for grabs. They are strong genetics coming from Fusilier Sheep lines for dams, while the rams now all come from British Columbia (because them mountain rams perform well for us). The Northie is UK Sired and White Rose on the bottom side, "Ernie" is a very strong and hardy ram. The texel ram, "Bert" is from the great Finley Farms, a very versatile ram that we are enjoying throwing onto the Mules and making a strong market lamb/replacement ewe. These rams we are very proud of, as they are giving a stronger ewe side of our flock.

Great looking batch of 10 replacement ewe lambs. These high (95%+) North Country Cheviot bred ewe lambs sure are going to stand out. These ewe lambs are from our good ram Ernie who is sired by a UK ram. The girls are all strong black feet, straight legs, deep barreled ladies. If I didn’t have my replacent ewe lamb quota already met, they wouldn’t be leaving. Many of their dams are 7+ years old plus their grandmas were 9-10 years old before being unproductive. These ladies are bred to last in the breeding field and out in the rough terrain.

They can be sold as singles, doubles, 5 or all 10. Cheaper the more you take

Starting at $650 each
