Kjerstin and Landon have picked up some new rams in the summer of 2023. The North Country is from Neville Eckel out of BC, this strong Northie ram showed very well at Grasslands in Humbolt. Ernie as they call him is a UK genetic ram, who is stout, strong, and well built ram for a good representation of the North Country Breed. Ernie has seen his first ewes, and will have his first crop of lambs in the spring of 2024. They will have a select few ram lambs from him for sale starting in the spring of 2025.
Their other new guy, is a sharp looking texel ram they call Bert, who they picked up from All Canada Sheep Classic. Bert comes from the Finley Farms also from BC. This little guy will be used to help up breed the papered texels. He’s one of the most gentle old souls, especially with having young kids running around. Very excited to see some of the babies coming from him in the spring.
While having these two outstanding young sides, they are running a commercial flock originating from us here at Fusilier Sheep. Beside the commercial flock they have a well balanced group of Mule ewes that they cross onto the texel. Along with a small chunk of purebreds of both breeds.
If you have any questions regarding their sheep, please send them an email or a phone call at:
